Tooth Whitening: What To Do???
Because there is such great demand for teeth whitening these days, manufacturers and distributors have pooled together to make possible the emergence of a vast line of products and treatments to offer to the general public to address this emerging "need". But due to this overload of options now, this public might sometimes find themselves at a loss as to which avenue is best for them as individuals.
So after one has done his research on the different ways by which he can achive that brighter, whiter smile, he must remember that key to his research is this: that what is important is that you get the best possible tooth whitening result when you, and EVERYTIME you whiten your teeth.
There are four major components to ensuring this:
1 It is advisable to brush your teeth just prior to the application of the treatment. Use an oxygenating toothpaste to help boost the reaction of the chemicals to be applied on your teeth, with your enamel. Your toothpaste must also contain the finest natural polishing agents so that your teeth's enamel are free of unwanted and possibly obstructive foreign elements attached to them from food, nicotine, etc. Aloe vera as another ingredient in your toothpaste is also highly recommended to strengthen your gums & prevent any kind of teeth sensitivity which is usually of post reatment irritations.
2 Make sure that the mouthpiece tailored for you by your dentist really fits well. If it is not completely snug to the curves of your gums and mouth, let him know that he might make the necessary adjustments. Ill-fitted mouthpieces are a niusance as they lead to sores and painful irritations to your gums.
3 Because teeth sensitivity, as mentioned, is characteristic as a side effect to bleaching, look for a 21% concentrated bleaching gel based on carbamide peroxide because such products are designed to reduce the sensitivity to your teeth and gums.
4 And lastly, immediately after bleaching, gargle using an oxygenating oral rinse. This enhanced the effectivity of the bleach.
