Whitening Your Teeth

Because of the wonders of modern dentistry you can be able to get your teeth brighter together with better confidence. It would really be harder to smile with teeth the same color as those old miners or timers. Imagine how hard it would be to greet a friend with a smile when you have old-timer’s teeth. Now having whiter teeth by scrubbing it very hard with an enormous brush will no longer be the solution. The other ways to get that killer smile is through crowns, veneers, bonding, and bleaching all of which are very effective but the price and methods vary.

Crowns:

Cosmetic crowns are used to cover leaking old silver fillings and fractured or broken teeth. If you think that your teeth looks like it has bling bling even without it really or the fillings are visible, porcelain crowns are able to eliminate that look. The crowns are carefully color matched with your teeth. If you have tartar black teeth, the color could be the same if you want it. They are tinted well to match your teeth’s color. The price of crowns may require you to borrow money from the tooth fairy because each tooth will cost $550 to $800.

Veneers:

Veneers are used to reshape your teeth. The dentist will add a custom made porcelain shell after grinding your teeth. You’ll be having a porcelain bling bling on your teeth. Most people usually have the smiling zone teeth veneered, about 6 to 10 teeth. The other teeth you have will then be bleached. Veneers will need to be replaced every 10 years. The price of veneers is more painful than having a tooth removed; it will cost you $750 to $2,000 dollars per tooth.

Bonding:

Bonding is similar to veneers but uses plastic resin instead of porcelains. This is usually done to replace chipped off teeth. It doesn’t reshape your teeth but is able to make your teeth whiter too. This is cheaper because the dentist only uses his hands. It will cost you $300 to $700 per tooth.

Bleaching:

This is the best solution for people who only want their teeth whitened and not reshaped. The dentist will make you a tooth tray that will store the peroxide and you would need to wear it. The peroxide will then bubble out some of the stains in the tooth’s enamel. Bleaching gets your teeth 5 shades whiter.

If you want your teeth 10 shades whiter, you can use Zoom or Britesmile. They use gels that are light activated and they are more expensive. They cost about $400 to $1200.

If you are having doubts bout spending too much on whitening your teeth, Crest Whitestrips Premium might help out. If you’re still too cheap, try using the old method of chlorines. Bad thing about it is the enamel will be eaten all off. You can just imagine the pain you’ll have when tooth decay sets in.
