New Tooth Whitener Could Help Heal Teeth

Just recently, a report came out that describes the latest tooth whitener that not only whitens the teeth but also help in promoting healing of decaying teeth. According to a dental researcher who reported the results of his team’s clinical studies, tooth whiteners with the ability of promoting the teeth’s natural healing process may soon be available in the market. The findings were presented during the national media conference of the American Dental Association or ADA.

Frederick Eichmiller, DDS—director of the Paffenbarger Research Center (PRC) in Gaithersburg, Maryland, headed a team of PRC scientists that created a “white with might” formula for whitening teeth that also contains remineralization agents for the tooth. The Paffenberger is a research arm of the ADA.

Dr. Eichmiller explained that bleaching opens pores that naturally occur within teeth. When opened, these pores are temporarily sensitive to air as well as hot and cold food and drinks. To close these pores, the saliva in out mouth comes to the rescue and heals these pores with minerals that our teeth need. Yet this process is slow. What the “white with might” does is hasten this healing process with the use of the remineralization agents. The best thing here is “white with might” heals teeth as it whitens them too! “White with might” offers fewer side effects for consumers as opposed to existing commercial whiteners in the market. It is so effective that the laboratory and human clinical trials showed astounding results.

PRC described the “white with might” technology it as “having your cake and eating it too.” The “white with might” comes in gel form. Currently, the whitening gel are stored separately from the remineralization ingredients and are combined only before applying to the teeth. Eichmiller said that the PRC team is working on combining the two elements into a single product
