Children

There are various ways for treating and taking care of one’s oral health. It is dependent on the person’s situation most likely and his age gap. As different ages can have different results, here are some of the best following ways to treat every different situation.

When a woman becomes pregnant, she may endure problems that she’ll rarely know or find out about. One such instance is that during pregnancy she’ll be developing more plaque as a result of surge of hormones, specifically the estrogen and the progesterone.

Gingivitis, tender and swollen gums are usually caused by plaque. It will only get worse during the second trimester of pregnancy. If you already have gingivitis, it will only become much worse. So treatment is a must as prolonged treatment can further cause damage.

When swollen gums of pregnant women irritated they can cause benign growths, pregnancy tumors and inflammation that develop when gums become irritated. The tumors, which usually shrink alone are left behind to shrink, however if they already interfere with mouth functions such as chewing the dentist will remove it.

Gingivitis can be prevented by brushing your teeth properly especially near the gum line and intake of nutrients and vitamins enrich in C and B-12. Flossing one’s teeth and a visit to the dentist to control plaque is of great help as well. To further prevent the worsening of the situation, it is best for the pregnant woman to visit the dentist during her pregnancy period.

Try not to have any dental treatment during the 4th to sixth month of the pregnancy. But if severe pain persist, a consultation with the obstetrician about using anesthetics will be helpful. Try to postpone surgeries until after the baby is born for further safety measures.

After giving birth, the mother now has to deal with her children’s oral hygiene and problems. As children are the hardest to take care of when it comes to oral hygiene, that’s why God only gave them baby teeth first. That they will be able to learn how to take care of their teeth after the baby one’s having been broken.

A child is usually taken to see a dentist usually after 6 months of the tooth’s first appearance. Baby teeth should be taken cared of as well because they are the starting pint of the permanent teeth anyway. There is a risk that the space that is necessary for permanent teeth will be lost if baby teeth is removed early and orthodontic procedures will have to be done. Don’t let the baby teeth get infected as well because this will result in weaker teeth and stains.

If the tooth is knocked out, try putting it back in the socket. It may sound disgusting but it is a part of life. Also what you see in the cartoons that you should pull your teeth with certain machines isn’t true. As this may only cause further damage. Instead put it inside a glass of milk and hurry to the dentist.

If you are a parent, a husband or an expectant mother, try following these advices and you will have a prolonged set of teeth.
