Home Based Tooth Whitening Products

Having stained teeth isn’t exactly the celebrity or tooth paste model smile we all dream of having. There are now various ways of whitening your teeth with the help of your dentist. But these measures are very expensive ranging from $200 to $2000 dollars per tooth. Just imagine how much that would hurt your wallets. If that’s the case it would be better off to have dentures that are extremely white. The cheaper way of whitening your teeth is through the home remedy kits. They would only cost $15 to $30 per kit.

Most people believe that home remedies don’t really work out. Maybe they believe that since it is not done with dentist supervision it might not work out well. Contrary to popular belief, home bleaching really works. It just doesn’t give you that very great white that you see on their commercials.

Based on consumer response, the two best products to use for home whitening remedy are Crest Whitestrips and Colgate Simply White Gel. Using these products is very easy to use because it takes less than a minute to apply. Consumer’s also warned them of buying Rembrandts 2 hour white because it causes gum irritation. Consumer’s also said that using Colgate Simply White (not the gel) is also harder to use.

Comparing the Crest White Strips to Gel Products:

• Crest white strips are worn during the day while the Colgate Gel is worn during the night.

• Crest Whitestrips are sticky strips of peroxide that are worn on your teeth. You peel them off like a band-aid and would put them on your teeth. Because they are so sticky they won’t fall off unless you peel them. You have an option of wearing them twice a day for 30 minutes or wear them for a period of an hour.

• The Colgate Simply white Gel is also a peroxide solution that is in gel form. You will apply this gel before you sleep by brushing it with a small brush. You would need to live this solution on overnight and brush your teeth in the morning. The amount of gel is good for two weeks.

The only difference of these two products in terms of results is not really based on what the product is made of, since they are both made out of peroxide. The main determining factor of how white your teeth could be is the amount of time you are able to apply them. The longer you apply them the better results you get. That’s why Colgate Simply White Gel now offers twin packs. Also ask yourself what would be easier to apply?

If you are still having doubts trying out sample packs maybe best for you at first. Or probably you can just use a whiteout.
